SUMMARY:Monarch Tagging in Pheasant Branch Conservancy
DESCRIPTION:The Friends of Pheasant Branch Conservancy are participating in the Monarch Watch monarch butterfly tagging program to help generate data on the insect’s migration and habitat.  We’ll offer four family friendly events where participants will learn techniques for netting and tagging butterflies.  No equipment or experience is necessary\, but if you have your own butterfly net\, feel free to bring it with.  \nEvent Locations: \nThe Bock Forest:  We will meet at the Kiosk located at the Highland Way entrance.  Street parking is available on Highland Way. \nSaturday September 10th\, 1 – 3 pm at the Bock Forest\n  \nDane County Unit:  We will meet at the FOPBC equipment trailer.  Parking is available in the Dane County lot at 4864 Pheasant Branch Rd\, or at Orchid Heights Park. \n Saturday September 3rd\, 1-3 pm at Dane County Unit \nSaturday September 17th\, 1 -3 pm at Dane County Unit\n\n \nPlease register below to assist the Friends in planning for the correct number of participants:\n \nFill out my LGL Form!

SUMMARY:Bock Forest Prairie Seed Collection
DESCRIPTION:Join us Wednesday September 7th\, from 6 to 7:30 pm and Sunday October 9th\, from 10 to noon to collect prairie seed at the Bock Forest unit of Pheasant Branch Conservancy.  The seed we collect will be cleaned and dried and used for future seeding to expand the prairie and increase species diversity. \nWe’ll meet at the kiosk at the Highland Way entrance to the Bock Forest.  Street parking is available on Highland Way.  Volunteers should wear sturdy footwear and my wish to wear pants\, long sleeve shirts\, and gloves. \nPlease help us plan for the appropriate number of participants by registering for these workdays here: \n \nFill out my LGL Form!
