DESCRIPTION:The Friends of Pheasant Branch Conservancy are participating in the Monarch Watch monarch butterfly tagging program to help generate data on the insect’s migration and habitat.  We’ll offer three family friendly events where participants will learn techniques for netting and tagging butterflies.  No equipment or experience is necessary\, but if you have your own butterfly net\, feel free to bring it with.  \nEvent Locations: \nThe Homestead Site:  We will meet at the FOPBC equipment trailer.  Parking is available in the Dane County lot at 4865 Pheasant Branch Rd\, or at Orchid Heights Park. \nThe Bock Forest: We will meet at the Kiosk located at the Highland Way entrance. Street parking is available on Highland Way. \n\nPlease register below to assist the Friends in planning for the correct number of participants: \n \n\n\n\n\nRegister here for butterfly tagging\n\n\n\n\n \nOnce you RSVP we’ll keep you updated on the event via e-mail.

DESCRIPTION:Thank you for your interest in helping with seed collection in Pheasant Branch Conservancy. Volunteering for these events is a great way to enjoy the Conservancy\, continue our efforts to diversify and expand our prairies and give back to the place we all enjoy so much. All are welcome and no experience is necessary. We simply ask that you sign up in advance so we can plan accordingly. \nSeed collection will alternate between Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons on select weekends\, June through October. \nPlease register below for the collection dates you are able to attend. DESCRIPTION:Help gather seed for Bock Conservancy’s newest prairie restoration! Tuesday\, 9/17 from 4-6 pm. We’ll meet at the kiosk in Bock Prairie off of Highland Way.   We’ll have hand clippers available but feel free to bring your own if you have them\, wear gloves\, a hat\, long pants and long sleeves\, and bring a water bottle. SUMMARY:Invasive Species Removal Workday
DESCRIPTION:Help remove invasive species along the southeast corridor trail this fall.  We’ll use loppers and hand saws to remove honeysuckle and buckthorn to help open up the canopy and provide sunlight and space for more beneficial plants.  This is a great way to get some physical activity in while supporting Pheasant Branch Conservancy. \nPlease use the form below to RSVP to so we can plan for the appropriate group size.  Tools and snacks are provided. \nFill out my LGL Form!
