DESCRIPTION:Join us for an in-depth\, hands on training that will cover all the aspects of protecting our resident and migrating birds from hitting windows. This workshop is geared to movers and shakers in the community\, particularly those who manage their Bird City Wisconsin status\, outreach staff or volunteers\, and community members interested in preventing bird window collisions and promoting or enacting city ordinances. \nThis event will be from 9am until 4pm including a 1 hour lunch break. The cost to participate is $25/person\, and includes classroom materials. Participants should bring their own lunch. DESCRIPTION:The Friends of Pheasant Branch Conservancy will host an Eagle Watch Pary for all ages to get a close up look at the eagles and eaglet in Pheasant Branch Conservancy from 2pm to 4pm on Thursday\, April 16. \nDirections: \nMeet on the south part of the loop\, just west of the beginning of the boardwalk.  \nSpotting scopes will be set up on the south end of the main loop close to the western edge of the boardwalk. \nParking is limited and the City of Middleton asks that visitors do not park on Pheasant Branch Road. This crew will work every other Wednesday throughout the summer\, pulling weeds and helping ensure that over 200 species of native plants have the space they need to flourish. \nWe’re looking for volunteers who can commit for the full summer. Our land manager will provide full instruction on plant identification and weed removal. But with all that vibrant native plant growth\, we also see unwelcome invasive weeds threatening to take over. \nWe are seeking a dedicated group of volunteers to join our Summer Weed Management Crew\, to keep the Pheasant Branch prairie thriving! This crew will work every other Wednesday throughout the summer\, pulling weeds and helping ensure that over 200 species of native plants have the space they need to flourish. \nWe’re looking for volunteers who can commit for the full summer. Our land manager will provide full instruction on plant identification and weed removal. In addition\, this is an exciting opportunity for individuals who want to learn about establishing\, restoring\, and maintaining native landscapes. \n\n\n\nRegister here for Weed Warriors
