All are welcome and no experience is necessary. We simply ask that you sign up in advance so we can plan accordingly. \nSeed collection will alternate between Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons on select weekends\, June through October. \nPlease register below for the collection dates you are able to attend. SUMMARY:Pheasant Branch Paddle Excursion with Marshall Boats
DESCRIPTION:Embark on a tranquil journey through nature with our Beginner Kayak Excursion down the picturesque creek in Pheasant Branch. Perfect for those new to kayaking\, this adventure promises a day of gentle exploration and breathtaking scenery. \nThis quick 20-minute paddle from Marshall Boats to the mouth of the conservancy is a favorite of ours. The Conservancy\, just up the western shore of Lake Mendota\, is a shining example of conservation efforts by three different government entities; the Wisconsin DNR\, the County of Dane\, and the City of Middleton work together to manage this beautiful green space. \nPaddle into the Conservancy a bit\, you’ll find the Marshall Crew waiting to show you channels and a small body of water to explore. Note the upland oak savanna and lowland wet prairies. You’ll want to linger and enjoy every moment. Education and fun are sprinkled throughout the Pheasant Branch Excursion. \nThis is event is sponsored by Marshall Boats and all proceeds benefit The Friends of Pheasant Branch Conservancy. \nPlease register in advance. DESCRIPTION:The Friends of Pheasant Branch Conservancy are participating in the Monarch Watch monarch butterfly tagging program to help generate data on the insect’s migration and habitat.  We’ll offer two family friendly events where participants will learn techniques for netting and tagging butterflies.  No equipment or experience is necessary\, but if you have your own butterfly net\, feel free to bring it with.  \nEvent Location:  The Homestead Site \nWe will meet at the FOPBC equipment trailer.  Parking is available in the Dane County lot at 4865 Pheasant Branch Rd\, or at Orchid Heights Park \n(Rain date will be Sunday\, 8/24\, at 10.) \n\n\n\nREGISTER HERE
