CONSERVANCY DAY: MADISON AUDUBON SOCIETY: ACCESSIBILITY IN BIRDING

Conservancy Day Event!

Wednesday May 17 at 6:00 PM

Middleton Public Library

There are so many unique ways to enjoy birds. You do not need to own binoculars, know how to identify every bird species, or even be outside. Madison Audubon is passionate about sharing the joy of birds by striving  to foster a birding community that is inclusive and welcoming. Communication coordinator Kaitlin Svabek will talk about accessible birding and discuss the organization’s work and collaborations with local partners to offer and expand opportunities to appreciate nature together.

Kaitlin Svabek is the communications coordinator at Madison Audubon. Passionate about improving access to nature, they often lead accessible birding outings or field trips geared towards beginning birders. When not actively birding or talking about birds, they love spending time outside with their spouse and dogs—hiking, biking, or gardening with native plants. Cranes and corvids are among their favorite bird species.
