On March 3, 2021 Dane County Parks under the supervision of Shane Otto and Lars Higdon and with the assistance of the Friends of Pheasant Branch Conservancy, accomplished the seeding of the first quadrant parcel (SE) in the 160-acre addition. It was a beautiful day all around with near perfect weather, 175 plant species for mesic prairie, dry mesic prairie and wetland terrain and excitement about completing the first year of this project. Watch the video to learn more about the seeding and our next “Seed the Need” fundraising campaign for year and quadrant 2.
