The first Restoration and Management workday of 2021 was a success on a mild winter day (1/16/21)!

Deadfall, invasive and otherwise undesirable cuts from shrubs and trees were all piled and burned near the area just downstream from where the intermittent Acker parcel stream meets the Frederick’s lesser springs south of the driveway from the County parking lot. It was a productive and rewarding workday amidst an unusually mild January day. These springs contribute considerable water to this stream bed and turn it into a beautiful flowing clear and cold water source for the animals of Pheasant Branch Conservancy and eventually a significant tributary of the Pheasant Branch Stream.
