On Monday, April 26th, a prescribed burn in the SE corner of the County portion of Pheasant Branch Conservancy and the North side of Frederick’s Hill was conducted by Quercus under the direction of our Land Manager, Rob Schubert. It was a very successful burn given the dry conditions of the vegetation and the strong SE winds. The images show the area before and after the burn in the SE portion, as well as the area burned around the springs and the post-burn results on the North side of the hill. Additionally, a few images display Quercus staff initiating the burn near the main trail and an aerial view of the active burn. Thanks to all who assisted in the prescribed burn and to the PBC visitors who adjusted their plans to allow for the prescribed burn to take place safely.
