Dane County Parks COVID-19 changes and updates are found here. Please share this page with others that might have questions about visiting parks and encourage them to stay safe by following social distancing protocols, not meeting up with non-household members at parks, not touching shared surfaces such as gates/tables/benches, and bringing hand sanitizer or wipes. You can also encourage them to help out by bringing a bag and gloves and picking up any trash they find along the way. They can report this volunteer service using this form.

Virtual Engagement

Dane County Parks created a few new ways that people can engage  virtually as they visit parks. This includes:

  • Tag Us Challenge: encouraging park visitors to tag #danecountyparks in their photos as they visit park properties. Each week has a theme and each week participants are entered to win a $50 Dane County Parks Gift Certificate. Instagram or Facebook.
  • BINGO Challenge: park visitors can print DCP BINGO sheets from this page and take them with them. When completed, mail them to the Heritage Center for a chance to win DCP prizes.
  • Conservation Corner videos: virtual tours and talks by parks staff coming in a few weeks as new life starts to grow in our parks! Watch Dane County Parks’ Facebook and YouTube pages.

All of these virtual ways to engage are (or will be) posted on a single webpage so they are easy to find.
