A prescribed burn at the Pheasant Branch Conservancy is likely for tomorrow April 8, 2023. Weather Conditions remain favorable. We plan on burning approximately 100 acres in the southern portion of the Dane County portion and northern part of the City of Middleton portion of the Conservancy. This is the lowland marsh area approximately between the Springs parking lot at 4864 Pheasant Branch Rd and the City overlook parking lot at 3715 Pheasant Branch Rd.
Our operation is expected between late morning and mid afternoon. During this time we’d suggest exploring other areas of the Conservancy, as there may be trail use disruptions due to heavy smoke and unfavorable conditions.
