Hans Hilbert serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Friends of Pheasant Branch Conservancy, a grassroots environmental non-profit organization dedicated to restoring, protecting, and promoting the Pheasant Branch Conservancy and watershed.
Hans brings over two decades of local government experience and public service to the organization. This background in regional administration and land use provides him with a deep understanding of municipal coordination, environmental policy, and watershed protection strategies. Under his leadership, the Board focuses on advancing ecological restoration, expanding community-focused educational programming, and strengthening regional partnerships to ensure the long-term sustainability of the conservancy’s wetlands, prairies, and forests.
In addition to his administrative leadership, Hans actively participates in public outreach and community engagement initiatives, including leading interpretive field trips and restoration programs within the watershed. His work with the Friends of Pheasant Branch Conservancy reflects a career-long dedication to preserving regional natural resources and fostering environmental stewardship within the local community. “
